"Je voudrais un croissant"

Where Bret & Jemaine stood.

While I was in Brooklyn (New York), I went to Fabiane's Cafe and Pastry. This place was featured in a very funny show called Flight of the Conchords (season 1, episode 8 to be precise). I made my friend take me there because I was determine to complete my Flight of the Conchords solo tour. It is sad, but I thought what the heck, when will I get to go to New York again?

There were so many mouth watering choices such as Roasted Lamb Sandwich, Prosciutto Pesto, Roasted Egg Plant Sandwich and many more fancy sarnies. After hmming and aaahming, I've decided on Cranberry Chicken and I was not disappointed. Also, for its price of $7.65 (around £5.20), it's pretty damn good because it was massive. I had to sneak the other half back home to finish. Check out their menu.

Oh... Foux Du Fa Fa

So, this baguette is filled with chunks of chicken, mayo, cranberries and walnuts. It was goooooooorgeous! It had the correct amount of mayo in it. It wasn't too soggy and it wasn't dry. Then you get this nice little crunch (that's the walnuts) and the sweet taste of cranberries...hmmmm. 10/10.

The atmosphere of the cafe was cosy and the service was good. Reason was when my friend came back from the laundrette, a waiter came by and asked if she would like her soup heated because it was served 15 minutes before. I thought that was a thoughtful gesture. The only downside I can think of is the size of the table we were at. It was rather cramped but I'd rather have a big plate of food if it meant for me to sit at a small table. The other thing was the iced coffee beverage. This was my fault of course. I guess I thought it was a good idea at the time. I definitely like my coffee milky with sugar. Hannah would completely disagree.
